We bought this for our 5-yr old daughter and it's great! It's a good size for her to get into, long and wide enough for her to grow into, and comfortable to sleep on. The only thing we were surprised about was the shortness of the drawers underneath the bed (we can't fit a comforter in the drawer like we thought we would be able to), but that's not a problem since you can still stick items under the bed behind the drawers.
