A twin mattress fits easily with a couple of inches to spare at the head or foot. You can use whatever mattress you want on the top, but wait until you've assembled the trundle to measure the bottom mattress clearance. We had to buy one without much cushioning or it wouldn't go under the top bed. As it is, it's tight.

Bought this for my two young grandsons when staying overnight with us. It is perfect for this use. It was so easy to assemble. I did it myself in about 1/2 hour. It is solid wood and very sturdy.

This is my son's bed and also the bed we use when family comes to visit everybody loves the look of the bed and how well made it is. You are not to be dissapointed . We will comeback in future furniture purchases. Very happy customer.

I bought these for my 2 pre-teen boys. They share a small bedroom and have limited space for clothes storage. I love the option of having friends over. The wood construction was important to me since...well...they are boys. Assembly was easy and they seem very sturdy. They like the height of the bed and the drawers for their clothes.

Our four year old loves it. He can't wait to have sleep overs. The top bed is kinda' high so he prefers sleeping on the lower unit. It has a great classy look and is made of good construction. it looks nice in the room, love the wood color. classy.
